JEANNE AND GUY GOLDEN HOUR IN JALISCO, MEXICO

This gallery is a very special one for me. I did this session when I was visiting my mother and step-father in Jalisco, Mexico. The absolute depth of their love and friendship was my constant inspiration throughout the years. From being a teenager and witnessing them snog in the kitchen as though they were just a couple of kids in love, to fulfilling their retirement dreams in Lake Chapala, Mexico together. They’ve worked so hard all of their lives, raised and supported their children and continue to do so. They have have explored the world and continue to embark on new and exciting adventures together. To see them so happy just fills up my heart so much it could burst. I was blessed in life to grow up witnessing the most genuine kind of love and companionship between them and I feel just as blessed to have had the opportunity to capture it. It’s important for a daughter to see her mother being treated with respect, support and care from their partner in life. Sometimes love just blooms when you least expect it and your life fills out in a way you never knew it could. Guy not only brought the BEST Dad jokes into our lives, but also gave me two amazing siblings who I am so incredibly grateful for. Photography has given me a window into the souls of those I love most and I couldn’t be more overjoyed to share these moments. I definitely cried while editing this session, and I can only hope everyone in the world gets to experience this kind of unconditional love in their life.

There was a beautiful pitbull named Koby who was living on the property where we were staying and he eagerly joined in for some photo fun as well! I still cannot get over his ADORABLE smile.
(I definitely fed him a lot of steak during my stay.)

RILEY AND MIKI BFF DATE

Riley and Miki go together like peas and carrots.
Both are beautiful, creative souls with laid-back personalities, a strong work ethic and the kind of humor that causes you to laugh until your stomach hurts: they're the best kind of people.
And the best kind of friends.
Our BFF session started out with coffee poured into the most adorable Buddha mugs and enjoyed out on the balcony which was perfectly accompanied by vinyl records.
We then headed out and proceeded to browse the classics at this perfect little record store called Used Kids Records
Afterward, we guiltlessly enjoyed some delicious food and bloody marys at the Short North Pint House which is nestled on High Street in Downtown, Columbus.
We honestly love these humans and we absolutely adored spending time capturing their friendship.

best friends forever.

LOGAN, SAVANNAH AND MASON.

After having such a magical maternity shoot with Savannah, it was a whole new kind of magic to photograph her baby boy. There was so much love felt between the three of them, and being able to capture it was an absolute joy. Could not get over how adorable Mason's little outfit was! The tiniest of shoes on the tiniest of feet! Savannah is just as beautiful a mother as she was a mother-to-be, her and Logan's complete admiration for their son was beautiful to witness.  We left with our hearts so full. Here are some of the highlights of this heartwarming lifestyle session.

ADVENTURES IN YELLOW SPRINGS

ADVENTURES IN YELLOW SPRINGS

My very best friend from Alberta, Canada came to visit us recently, so our days were packed with meaningful ventures together, yet our personal favorite was when we went on a Sunday road trip out to Yellow Springs, Ohio. It was our first time there and we absolutely fell in love with the quaint yet eclectic uniqueness of it. After hitting up some awesome nature trails, we explored the town and had a real Ross and Rachel moment at this cute laundromat, made a brief visit to the Yellow Springs Brewery then sat down for a delicious meal at the Sunrise Cafe which offered an array of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options, much of their ingredients locally sourced and organic. Our waitress was a gem and the atmosphere was fun, nearly every inch of the cafe was creatively painted. We absolutely adored our micro greens salad with homemade falafel. NOM. We can't wait to go back this summer and explore some more! Here are some captures of our little adventure in Yellow Springs!

She's so stinkin' cute.

SARAH AND DAN WINTER COOKOUT

These two incredible human beings tell the modern love story of their generation: a long distance relationship where staying in touch requires the help of technology. Yet if you're around them when they're together, their amazing chemistry is truly felt; a chemistry that truly defies distance. This lifestyle session was so abundant with laughter, precious moments and exceptionally delicious food that Tyler and I were also able to enjoy. We had the privilege of capturing their last evening together before Sarah was leaving Columbus, Ohio and heading back home again to Texas and we absolutely adored witnessing their precious connection.

EMILY PET DATE AT MOUNT PLEASANT

Had a pet date with a wonderful photographer and friend recently, the view was breathtaking and the company was even better. We went to the edge of the world, better known as Mount Pleasant in Lancaster, Ohio. Although my fingers were frozen, I captured these photos of Emily and her sweet girl, Libby. Mount Pleasant truly lives up to its name.

SUNSET FRIENDVENTURE IN GALLOWAY

Spending an evening alongside amazing humans with the theme of creativity and adventuring is something we absolutely adore. This was in Galloway, Ohio on a Darby Creek Metro Park trail. We worked on a small portrait session for a friend of ours and the spot we shot in was natural light heaven. I brought my film camera along, the Canon AE-1, and the gang brought along their own film and digital cameras. There was no shortage of creative tools! We were blessed with such a stunning sunset to witness, I used the lenses I was born with to take it in with the hope it would stay engrained in my brain forever. This is the result of our captures.
