SAVANNAH MATERNITY AT SUNSET

SAVANNAH MATERNITY AT SUNSET

To say we adored this session is an understatement.
We had many extensive days of gloomy, rainy weather before this photo shoot happened. The morning of the shoot, the sky was covered in a plethora of gray. Yet right before the session, the sky miraculously cleared up, until all that was left was a vast canvas of blue and sunshine. It felt like a sign. Not to mention the fact that this stunning mother-to-be walked around barefoot in Galloway, Ohio for two hours straight, even making her way through thickets and grass fields all the while carrying an incredibly active baby and still managing to look like the goddess she is. This mama was up for anything and we had a blast!

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the confidence this beauty had to not only bare her skin to the cold weather but to the camera as well! When making sure she was comfortable capturing these particular shots in the area that we were in, she reassured us by saying, "It's legal for women to be topless in Columbus!" I love it.

The sunset was gorgeous but she definitely stole the show.

MOODY GRUNGE

MOODY GRUNGE

Sometimes when you get ready for a date night, you end up feeling so fierce that you just have to do a mini session in your front yard. My wardrobe consists of many Nirvana and Kurt Cobain items since I'm a huge fan and I've really been loving the grunge fashion comeback this year. I've had many DIY ideas for some amazing grunge pieces I hope to execute in the near future! I'm pretty sure I've had this choker since I was a teenager, isn't it awesome when old items come back in style? I may be a minimalist in most aspects of my life, but when it comes to clothes, I like to hold on to my favourite pieces as I always have a feeling it may just come back in style eventually. We hit up The Crafty Pint after this and I filled up on delicious craft beers and fish and chips.

Shirt - Hot Topic
Jeans - H&M

JADE NATURE & RAILROAD ADVENTURE

JADE NATURE & RAILROAD ADVENTURE

We love shooting in Galloway, Ohio because there are many untouched nature spots to explore and shoot beautiful portrait sessions in. Jade is a seasoned thrifter and came across this adorable white romper that was so fun to photograph her in. I love railroads because they remind me of free spirits. Perhaps it's all the old school movies I've watched where nomads travel on them by foot or jump in an empty car and embark on a soul adventure, but there's something timeless about them that connects the past and present together, just as rompers were introduced in the 1900s and are just as timeless.

JADE DOWNTOWN COLUMBUS

JADE DOWNTOWN COLUMBUS

It was a perfect day to explore downtown Columbus, Ohio. We began in Goodale Park, made our way down High Street and ended up at the top of a parkade, overlooking the city. The view was just as incredible as shooting this spirited beauty! It was a joy spending time with Jade, as she is a true advocate for body positivity, self-love and isn't afraid to let go and be silly. It was amusing to watch her run around the parkade with a wand of bubbles and brought to the surface our own childlike sense of wonder as we captured these moments.

TRIPPY BURGER IN THE FOREST

Tyler got a new haircut, ordered some merchandise from the music producer Getter who has the clothing line Trippy Burger and had also recently bought these awesome reflective sunglasses. I was so in love with the look that it called for a mini styled shoot.
